The Ufogel, East Tyrol, Austria

Who said a home had to be large? In todays world we are all set on fast tracking ourselves to a bigger and better home; which we believe will lead us to a bigger and better life. However, over the past year my views on thoughts like these have changed. I choose to adopt the small home outlook, and accompany it with plenty of adventure!

Growing up in a family full of builders I have always had an interest in architecture, but this tiny home, known as the Ufogel in Austria gives me great hope for small, efficient, yet stylish spaces.

The Ufogel is made entirely of larch wood, and some would say it is a sculpture to live in! A fully functioning home in 485 sq ft. Every detail in this tiny home has been thought out consciously and it shows! No space to waste! Complete with a multi-functional living space, kitchen, designer bathroom, large panorama windows and what I like to call the ‘mini loft’  which leads to a beautiful bedroom. Beside this small bedroom resides a space for a closet, or a tiny bedroom as shown.

Whether you sit, lie, shower or share a meal, two things are always present in an Ufogel: wood and the heavens. The large windows bring the landscape indoors to convey a feeling of being outside while still cozy and warm by the fire. I like to imagine what it would be like to watch the snow fall while reading a good book with a hot cup of coffee in the ‘Mini Loft’.

Feel like spending some time here, take a trip to East Tyrol in Austria and rent this neat space for some rest and relaxation!
